About Dr. Onyewuenyi

Dr. Onyewuenyi grew up in Houston, TX. She completed her undergraduate education at the Johns Hopkins University where she graduated with honors in Public Health. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, and her Master’s in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Throughout her training, she has engaged in numerous global health activities across multiple continents with a focus on improving access to safe and comprehensive reproductive health care. Dr. Onyewuenyi completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

She is a fierce advocate for her community and believes that women of all backgrounds deserve access to high-quality patient-centered care. Her professional interests include general obstetrics and gynecology, global and community healthcare, and digital health solutions. In her spare time, Dr. Onyewuenyi enjoys dancing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants in the D.C area.
