Dr. Parikh is a double board-certified physician specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Prior to joining MFM & Genetics of Advantia, she practiced at Greater Washington Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics.
Dr. Parikh earned her medical degree from Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at Medstar Washington Hospital Center/Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, where she also served as Academic Chief Resident.
Recognized for her exceptional performance and dedication to teaching obstetrics, Dr. Parikh has received numerous awards and honors. Her research has been published in prominent peer-reviewed medical journals, including Obstetrics & Gynecology, Journal of Maternal-Fetal and Neonatal Medicine, Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a long-standing member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine. Demonstrating her commitment to patient care beyond borders, Dr. Parikh learned Spanish during medical volunteer work in Guatemala.
Dr. Parikh's recent clinical focus encompasses complex fetal ultrasound, prenatal diagnostic procedures, placement of cervical cerclage, and the management of maternal conditions such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.
Dr. Parikh loves spending her free time hiking local trails, playing basketball with her family, and enjoying comedy podcasts. She and her husband recently welcomed their baby boy in December 2024 and cherish every moment with their two sons.
