Dr. Guran graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Spanish in 1994. She moved to Maryland soon after and worked as a public school teacher in Baltimore through Teach For America. In 2000, she received a Master of Public Health degree from University of Maryland, College Park. For over a decade she had a career as a public health professional, community organizer, birth doula & childbirth educator. She attended Oregon Health & Science University, completing her M.D. in 2017. Dr. Guran completed her Ob/Gyn residency training at Banner University Medical Center – Tucson/University of Arizona in 2022 and joined Reiter, Hill & Johnson that year. Dr. Guran’s professional interests include general obstetrics & gynecology and LGBTQ health. She strives to be a trauma-informed provider of patient-empowering health care. Dr. Guran is excited to be back in the DC area. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, traveling, and reading. Se habla español.
